Volunteer Opportunities

The lifeblood of CHFMA is its committee system. Chapter volunteers work through a wide array of committees that organize the chapter's programs, educational efforts and internal operations. CHFMA's current committees are as follows:

• Audit Committee - This Committee is charged with developing accounting policy and procedures and periodically reviewing the financial statements and the related books and records of the Treasurer. The Committee also oversees the annual review of the accounting records in coordination with an accounting firm.

• Certification Committee - This committee is responsible for developing and implementing activities that will inform chapter members of the national certification requirements, make available study materials for members, and coordinate the testing process.

• Compliance Committee - This committee is responsible for developing the annual two-day Compliance Summit for the Colorado Chapter. The Compliance Committee has established a statewide network via e-mail to communicate compliance related questions and answers.

• Founder’s Merit Awards Committee - This Committee is responsible for maintaining the Founder’s Merit Award history record for each member and for reporting to National HFMA, as required. Founder’s records are used to recognize members that contribute to the success of HFMA.
