Certification for Healthcare Financial Management Professionals
HFMA’s Certification programs seek to bring stature to the profession of
healthcare financial management as well as offer each qualified members an
opportunity to upgrade their professional status. The HFMA certifies members
based upon criteria which requires a certain level of professional experience,
education, and participation in the organization. The final requirement for
certification is the successful completion of an HFMA Certification Exam.
HFMA's certification designations are:
- Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (CHFP)
- Certified Manager of Patient Accounts (CMPA)
These certifications indicate the attainment
of a high level of professional competence that is measured by meeting
experiential and professional requirements.
Upon attaining the status of a Certified Healthcare Financial Professional
(CHFP) a member can earn an even more prestigious designation as a Fellow
(FHFMA).
