HFMA Member Awards and Recognition Programs
Both the National HFMA and the Colorado HFMA Chapter recognize the achievements and efforts of those who have contributed to our profession and their communities.
Recognition and award programs currently honoring HFMA members are:
National Life Membership
National Life Membership recognizes meritorious service to HFMA or an outstanding contribution to the healthcare financial management profession. A National Life Member is exempt from all further dues and assessments. This status may not be conferred on a member while he or she is serving as an elected Officer or Director of HFMA National.
Chapter Life Membership
Chapter Life Membership may be conferred upon the member to recognize outstanding chapter accomplishments. To initiate the process, a member must be a retired member in good standing. The Chapter's Board of Directors must recommend conferral of Chapter Life Membership on the retired member.
Frederick C. Morgan Award
The Morgan Award is the most prestigious individual award given by HFMA and is designed to encourage the spirit of service to the principles of the Association as fostered by Morgan himself.
Founders' Merit Award
The Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) recognizes that its strength lies in volunteers, who contribute their time, ideas, and energy to serve the healthcare industry, their profession, and one another.
Established in 1960, the Founders Merit Award Series acknowledges the contributions made by HFMA members at four award levels: the Follmer Bronze Award, the Reeves Silver Award, the Muncie Gold Award, and the Founders Medal of Honor.
Presidents' Legacy Award
HFMA Colorado is dedicated to serving its members through superior educational programs, stimulating networking events and informative newsletters. The chapter succeeds only through the efforts of its dedicated volunteers who spend hundreds of hours ensuring our membership's needs are identified and addressed.
The HFMA Colorado Presidents' Legacy Award recognizes and celebrates the significant volunteer work carried out throughout the year by the members of our chapter.
